AI Agents · South Africa

AI agents that read, decide and act. You approve the steps that matter.

We build custom AI agents for South African businesses. Each agent reads the message, checks the live data, drafts the action, and waits at an approval gate before anything consequential leaves the building. Agentic AI with governance, not a chatbot with a script.

What is an AI agent?

An AI agent is software that reads a situation, decides what to do, and acts, instead of waiting for a person to click through every step. A chatbot follows a script. An AI agent reads the actual message, checks the actual data, and picks the next move from what it finds. We build custom AI agents on OpenAI, Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini, wired into the systems a business already runs.

One agent run can read an email, look up the order, check stock, draft the reply, and queue the action for sign-off. Every agent we ship carries human approval gates on the steps that matter. The agent does the reading, the checking and the drafting. People keep the final say on money, commitments, and anything customer-facing that carries real risk. That split is what makes agentic AI safe to run.

How do AI agents work inside a South African business?

An agent run is a short loop: read the input, gather context, decide, act, log. The input can be a WhatsApp message, an email, a form, a missed call, or a change in a spreadsheet. The agent pulls live context from the systems around it, stock levels, account status, pricing rules, past conversations, then chooses an action within limits set upfront.

Safe actions run straight through. Consequential actions pause at an approval gate, where a person sees exactly what the agent found and taps approve, edit or hold. Every run writes a log, so the business can see what each agent did and why. Agents run one at a time or as a multi-agent team, one reading intent, one checking data, one drafting output. The agent works around the clock. The judgement stays with the team.

What do AI agents replace, and where does the saving come from?

The saving from an AI agent comes from removing waiting, not removing judgement. Most admin work is not thinking. Most admin work is reading a message, opening three systems, retyping the same details, and chasing someone for a status. An AI agent collapses that whole chain into one prepared decision that a person approves in seconds.

The mechanics are simple. Triage happens the moment a message lands, not when someone gets to the inbox. Data moves between systems without retyping, so capture errors stop compounding. Follow-ups fire on schedule instead of on memory. Quotes, replies and updates go out in minutes, not days. We do not promise a number upfront, because every business is different. We scope the specific hours an agent removes, then build for those hours. The same team handles more work, and the queue stops growing.

Do AI agents integrate with the tools we already use?

Integration is the point of an AI agent. An agent with no access to real systems is just a chatbot with opinions. We connect agents to WhatsApp Business Cloud API and Twilio for messaging, GoHighLevel and HubSpot for CRM, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 for email and calendars, Xero and Sage for accounting, PayFast for payments, and Shopify for e-commerce.

Under the hood, agents run on n8n or Make.com for orchestration, with Supabase and PostgreSQL for data and Cloudflare in front. The agent reads from these systems and writes back to them, so the CRM stays the source of truth and nothing lives in a silo. No rip and replace. The stack the business already pays for keeps working, and the agent becomes the connective tissue between the pieces that never talked to each other.

How do AI agents stay POPIA-compliant and under our control?

Control is designed into an AI agent from the first line, not bolted on after launch. Every build we ship is POPIA-aware: the agent touches only the personal information a task actually needs, processing has a defined purpose, and data does not leak into places it was never meant to go.

Three mechanisms keep the agent governed. First, approval gates: any action involving money, commitments or customer data pauses for a human decision. Second, run logs: every step of every run is recorded, so there is an audit trail for anything the agent did. Third, hard limits: the agent gets scoped access to systems, never blanket access. The business decides which actions run automatically and which wait for sign-off, and that boundary can be tightened or loosened at any time. Governed autonomy, with the final say staying human.

How do we start with AI agents?

Starting with AI agents is a conversation, not a contract. The first step is simple: tell us the process that runs slow. Quotes that take days, an inbox nobody clears, leads that go cold before anyone replies. We give an honest read on whether an agent fits. If the honest answer is a simpler automation, or no build at all, that is what we say.

From there we scope one agent for one process and ship a pilot on real work, real messages, real data, real approval gates, so the value shows before the commitment grows. The pilot proves the loop, then the agent hardens into production. And the business owns everything we build: the workflows, the data, the integrations, the documentation. No lock-in, no black box. Built in Cape Town, running for 35+ companies over 3+ years.

Tell us what runs slow. We build what fixes it.

Describe the process in plain language and we give an honest read: agent, simpler automation, or no build at all. If an agent fits, we scope it, pilot it on real work, and you own everything at the end.
